He was wounded and returned to Fort Campbell. He was stationed there when he was shot and killed by a police officer. I am looking for anyone who knew him or served with him. Perry from Rochester New York. He was a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne, from 1950-1955. I do know that one of his duty stations was Okinowa. This is all that I know right now, my mother is searching through old papers of his to determine other information. My Father died 11SEP1988 from Mesothelioma. I am the eighth of his ten children and would love to speak to anyone who knew him back then. He was a phenomenal Father and Grandfather. I appreciate any information! PFC Clifford J. Bruinsma of Madison NY was killed in action 26 March 1951. His nickname was 'Kip' According to my information he was a Light Weapons Infantryman (MOS 4745). Looks like he died during action in OPERATION COURAGEOUS. I'm named after my uncle but never met him. I'd love to know more about my uncle and the men he served with.
