Comments: I was looking to find any information or friends of Cpl. Leslie T. Yeatts, B Co. 180th Inf. He is my grandfather, and sadly may not be with us for much longer. To this day, he will not talk about his experience in Korea or Vietnam (unsure of unit in Vietnam ). If anyone can tell me anything about him, I would greatly appreciate it. I have some pictures that I could share with anyone who would like. Thank you.

Comments: I am writing on behalf of my brother – William (Bill) Thomson, who served as an infantryman in G Company, 2nd Battalion, 180th Regiment, 45th Infantry Division. He was in Korea during 1952/53, and was involved in the fighting on Old Baldy. Some of the names he remembers are Lt Chase, Sgt. Williams, and Lt Dorset. Would appreciate any information or contact with his fellow soldiers.

I would like to hear from anyone who knew him there and also from anyone who knows about battles the 180th was involved in. Both he and Mom are recently deceased. When my sister and I cleared the estate we found a Chinese rifle dated 1934 with the words #1Killer and a skull and crossbones painted in red on the stock. I am told by a military historian that it was probably given to Dad by his platoon as a commemorative of his actions in some battle. I would especially like to hear from anyone who might remember this event and could tell me the story about how Dad got the rifle.

Comments: My father served in the Korean War in 1952, but he never talked about it much. It was too hard. However, he has recently passed (July 1,2002), and I would really like to know more about him as a soldier. My family and I are really missing him, and his past is a big hole, and we would like to fill it in. I know that he stayed in the Scofield Barrucks with an Elroy Halgesen, a Joseph Hartman, a Charles Hatcher, and a John Hohman. I also have a picture of him with an Eldon Elthon from Faribault, Minnesota at Sandbag Castle. If anyone has any information that may be helpful it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for yout time.

Comments: I am requesting information on behalf of my mother. Irvin Lanehart was sort of an orphan and my grandmother raised him along with her own ten children. All they ever knew was that he was KIA in Korea June 12, 1952. I would be grateful for any information from anyone with whom he served. I am especially interested in information pertaining to the circumstances of his death and how to find out where he might be buried. Any information from anyone who knew him or served with him would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all very much.

Comments: My dad, James B. Strickland used to tell this story about his time in Korea...

Once when his unit was off the line somebody showed up in a truck bringing several cases of beer and one loaf of bread. Somebody spoke up and said, "What the hell are we going to do with all that bread?"

Comments: The man Listed above is my grandfather, he has only just started to talk about some of what he went through in Korea (he was there until about 1952) I am not sure on the years. When he came home he bought a book, I would like to replace it. The book has a blue cover the "title" is 45th Infantry Division. on the cover there is also a red square (on a tip) with a yellow bird inside of it (it is supposed to be a thunderbird). If anyone knows where I can find this book, or knowes my grandfather please e-mail me. Thank you Jimmi Lynn Blanchet
