CORRECTION ( AGAIN ) |
| STEVEN INGRAM wrote on April 11, 2011 CITY AND STATE: UNIT: SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: Dad was in Korea from Jan '51 to Nov '51, then rotated out on points. ALSO - all of you need to name the battery! Dad tells me there were 4 batteries in the 21st, A through D; each battery had 16 halftracks, and they were assigned to infantry company's in pairs, so they rarely saw other members of their respective battery. Thought this might help some of you looking for info. Keywords: |

Learned to enjoy the desert (not the sandstorms), traipsing back and forth between Logan Heights and Oro Grande. Departed Nov 1950 for FECOM via San Francisco. Arr. Yokahama late November. Landed in Pusan early January 1951. Joined 25th Div in drive north. Battery D supported 24th RCT, later reorganized as 14th RCT. My odyssey back to Maine started in December 51. It took a month.
