Comments: I was in the detachment that was with the 1st British Commonwealth Division and then later with the 2nd Inf Div.
I remember Jack Walsh, Francis Hanafin, Charlie Phelps, Willie Gallagher, Fred Weir, Fred Voisine, Jay Cutler, Lt Ron Weinstein, Lt Gary Smith, Bill Davis, Tony Daniel,Jack Hallenbeck and a guy named Durant, another named Bush.
We were in the general area of Hill 355, Little Gibraltar and the Bowling Alley. We had two dogs, Bill and Garbage. Anybody from my old unit, drop a note.

Comments: I served with the 352nd comm recon company from the time it was formed at camp pickett, va.
arrived pusan ,korea january of 1951. from there on to tague, taejon, yong dong po, seoul. uijongbu, and eventually attached to the 15th inf. regt. above the 38th parallel as a radio intercept operator. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who served with the 352nd at that time.

Comments: I joined the 352nd at Camp Pickett,Va. as it was forming in preparation for embarking for Korea December of 1950. (I was a radio intercept operator). We embarked from Oakland California on the troopship Gen. William Mitchell and arrived in Pusan, Korea sometime in January. From thereon to Taegu, Taejon and Seoul where the company set up headquarters. I went with a team to Yongdongpo and then on to I corps forward at Uijongbu. From there our team went on up into North Korea where we were attached to the 15th Inf. Regt.. I returned to the states in February of 1952 and was assigned to the 8601st AAU at Vint Hill Farm Station
Glad to hear that there are still some out there that remember the 352nd

He was the group commander from Japan(can't remember the rest of his name, old guy with white hair, a pompous style. Acted like Patton, but wasn't nearly that smart.

Is there any information on the 352nd Com/Recon Company?
