Comments: I don't know much about the 398th, but I have a proud member of the 398th who I care for that is having poor health and is interested in knowing about Melvin Coffee or Coffey. The patient is Thomas Cook and he says he served in Korea from I believe 1950-1953??. He says he was stationed in (Oson?) and protected a landing strip in the area. If any one has any information that would be helpful please e-mail me ASAP. Thank You.

Comments: We were stationed on top of a hill overlooking the runway at K55. We were the 136th Communications Security Service, Detachment 6 and our gate over looked the Mig Disposal Area which as I remember was the 398th AAA. We also ate at their mess tent during the year I was at K55. I really didn't know anyone at 398th but noticed your web site and it reminded me of some good and bad times on that hill.
