Comments: Would like to hear from someone who might remember me from those days, Did anyone see the Xmas/New year painting on the Inje bridge under construction, it was 70 ft long, seen from the tank bypass. that was my work, I'm alive and well, still drawing and painting at 78, wish you guys well.

Looking for Grover C. Jones' photograph

Comments: I am looking for a photograph of Grover C. Jones Jr.. He was my grandfather. We have no photo record of him. He was in the Army from Oct 1950 to Oct 1952. He was in Co B 430th Engr Const Bn APO 301. He was a maintainance man. His civilian job was a painter. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!

Information on death of Pasqui Coppola

Comments: Wish all you former 43oth people belonged to the Korean War Veterans Association. The magazine, the Graybeards, has a story about the 430th and it's activities during the time I was with them. July 1951 to July 1952.

Got a call from a Vincent Anthony Coppola, asking if I knew anything about the death of his brother, killed in an accident, May 8, 1952. His brother was in A company 430th and the accident happened around the Hongchon area.

Being I was in C company, I had no information about his brother's death.

Any of you guys, from A company, who are familiar with Pasqui Coppola and know what the facts are about his death, please contact me and I will forward the information to his brother, who has no computer.

Please, wrack your brains and come up with anything you might know about this unfortunate death.

Koje Do is now a vacation resort

Comments: Spent the last month in Korea on Koje Do island building 500 men POW compounds on the other side of Koje.

Koje Do is now a vacation resort. Something that people who were there during the POW riots, would have never believed would happen to that place. And they built a bridge from Pusan down to Koje. Even have hotels and resturants there. Who'da ever thunk it??

Comments: im lucky enough to still have my hero with me and want to know more about his service to our country. he had a name that would be remembered even today. ZIVER GAUTHIER. i am hoping to help him reunite with some friends or men who shared with him. he worked in 'pit 15" dredging for stone. he also set up many asphalt plants and constructed airfields. any information or recolections would be appreciated.

Gene Lloyd had his picture in Stars and Stripes paper, when the 430th was down on Koje-Do island for the riots in May, June 1952.

Gene doesn't have a computer, so any information we get on people he is looking for, will be forwarded to him by "snail mail" by me or people involved!

Comments: Arrived in Korea 6/53, To start,filled potholes in the road between Chunchon & Wonju,then was Capt.Bentley's jeep driver.I then became the Motor pool Dispatcher. The company moved from Chunchon to Wonju,we sat up camp on the old Wonju air base. Love to hear from any of you old G.I's. Hope to see you at the 2004 reunion. Thanks Uncle Sam for the experiences.
