SEEKING GRAVE MARKER
FRANK SEARS-FROIO wrote on November 8, 2011

SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: FAMILY MEMBER

Comments: My father served with B Company, 73rd Heavy Tank
Battalion 1950/1951, receiving the Purple Heart Award.
He has recently passed away.
When our family applied for a Korean War grave
marker, we were told there was no record of his
service due to a fire which had consumed many service
members files including his.
For those of you who are in the same position as we,
can you direct me to a contact who can assist us
obtain a grave marker?
We would be greatful for your help.

He always talked about how cold it was, he said it was so cold that he got frostbite on his toes. My mom said the first few years that they were married his toenails would fall off as a result of the frostbite.
