Keywords: Does anyone remember Captain Joseph Errigo? He was shot down during the Korean War, was a POW, and died from his injuries approximately 9 months after he was shot down. Are there any of his unit buddies out there who might be able to give our family any information on him? We would surely appreciate it.

Comments: My father died when I was young, and he was in the 82nd airborne in the korean war. I had a picture of him in korea, with his airborne patch, but the history says the 82nd wasn't in korea. I know that's bogus, because I've seen the pictures. He was ststioned in Fort Lewis Washington where I was born. He was a master sargent, which was a firld commission. Does anybody out there remember him, that may have served with him?

Comments: Korean War Project Key No: 13433 He's my uncle, my mothers brother. I'm seeking information from those vets who may have known him, and what happened to him. The family has no information from the Army about the circumstances in which he was captured or what pow camp he was in. He died 31Dec1951.

I've read several of the posts on this site, and I've found several posts from others about lost loved ones involved in fighting near Kunu-ri on 1Dec1950.

I'm wondering what happened there, anyone have any info?

Comments: Looking for anyone who served with my uncle in Korea, he lost his life in Sept. of 1950 when his unit was ambushed. He stayed with the radio and got reinforcements brought in.

He was from Minnesota. My family has passed on, they never brought up my uncle after he was killed and I wasn't born until 1951.

Comments: I am looking for any information on my uncle Cpl. Hans Rasmussen Sand who was a member of Bat. "D" 82nd AAA and was reported MIA on Dec. 1, 1950 in the ChongChon River area. I am looking for anyone who was there and might be able to confirm his capture. After 50 years my Dad (his brother) and I still want to know. Comments: I never met my uncle but he was my mother's only brother. He was killed at age 19 on August 31, 1950 in South Korea. My mother has died, as well as my grandmother and grandfather. I would like to hear from anyone who might have known my uncle. He played the trombone in the military band, as well. He was a member of the 82nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. Thank you.

82nd AAA AW D Battery

Comments: I'm looking for anyone who may have known him or data about Sgt Clair C. Dauberman who was a member of D Battery. His MOS was 0060, cook. He was part of the Pa. National Guard and brought into active duty during 1950. Clair was a cousin and lost during the excursion into N. Korea. The family never heard what happened to him nor if remains were ever recovered. A DNA sample has already been provided but nothing has been heard yet. My searching is primarily for his daughter who lives in Seattle. Clair also has many other fmaily members still living in Union County, Pennsylvania

Sgt Gerald J. Mueller

Comments: Gerald is my brother and our family is looking to make contact with anyone who knew him during his time in Korea. He was captured on 2/13/51, and later died at the Suan Bean Camp. If anyone has information, unit photos, etc., our family would be interested in making contact. Gerald was from Buckman, Minnesota.

Capt. Joseph Errigo * 82nd AAA AW Bn

Comments: Little Joe was my uncle; sadly, we never met. He was killed before I was born. My father, John, and his siblings, Frank and Mary, kept his memory alive.

Anyone with information about Joe Errigo, your service time together, or his last days in combat, please e-mail or write. Every story is important.

Joe was awarded the Purple Heart(Posthumously), the Bronze Star, and The Oak Leaf Cluster for organizing and leading his troops across the Chong-chon River near Kujang-dong, then attempting to break through enemy road blocks. He was also a POW for awile. I would like to hear your stories.

The Army sent official notification of his status (KIA) in 1953, although it was presumed he was killed in 1950 and his grave marker says 1951.

Please let me document your stories and memories.
