Comments: My father served in the 97th artillery AAA company C. He is trying to find men that he served with. My father went by Grover, He still lives in Hulen, Kentucky and grew up in Pathfork,Kentucky. I know I'm missing another part to his Company outfit. If anyone knows anything about this outfit. I would appreciate it if they could e-mail me or call me on my cell phone.

Comments: I am seeking AAAOCS 1952-1953 Ft Bliss graduates who would be willing to act as coordinators and mobilize their class to attend a combined class reunion in late April 2003. During nineteen months of operation in 1952 and 1953, AAAOCS at Ft Bliss graduated 1,175 candidates in fourteen classes. Many of these men served in command and staff positions in Korea, where some were casualties. Others served in Europe during the Korean era, some joined the instructional staff of the AAA & GM Branch of the Artillery School at Ft Bliss and a few made the service their career. Year 2003 will be the Fiftieth Anniversary Year of the Korean War Armistice and an important time to all AAAOCS graduates. Even if you cannot act as a class coordinator, please make contact so that you can be kept informed as plans develop.

comments:
I am attempting to locate as many ex-candidates as possible for a
reunion in El Paso in the near future. I have about 75 names so far
including 15 deceased, and want to get as many more as I can before
we set a date. If you haven't sent me your name please do so ASAP
so we can get going. This will include all Batteries, not just Baker.
I understand that there was only i detachment and it operated from
around Sept 1951 thru the end of 1953. We were designated both by Class
number ie: Class 2 or else alphabetically such as "Baker Battery"
I was a member of Baker and although that is the group that I originally
wanted to get together we now would like all battery's to join us.
So I guess you should list us as the AAAOCS Detachment, Fort Bliss
1951-53.
