| CHARLES MCCARTHY wrote on October 9, 2010 CITY AND STATE: UNIT: UNCJSA JSF SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: UNITED NATIONS Comments: In '91 the black e-6 medic tried to do gay stuff to me while I was in his room for a neck injury. He was tabbed sf, combat jump, even scuba. I jumped out the window through the screen because he was blocking the door. That night a friend of mine was playing drums in a band at a party on the Camp Bonifas tennis courts, and a guy from Liberty bell slashed his own wrists and got beat up by his "friends". That's why I was in the s.sgts room. My friend was way too drunk too drive and knocked down a new wall. We made him leave anyway with no report, the bridge was going to close at midnight. My best friend black mailed that s.sgt for a lot of money the remainder of our tour. I used the money to exchange goods with the north Korean soldiers in Panmunjom where I worked. Oh memories. | RICHARD CHRISTIANSEN wrote on May 30, 2010 CITY AND STATE: UNIT: HHC, 2ND INFANTRY DIVISION, G-2, DMZ SURVEILLANCE SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: ARMY VETERAN Comments: From 10/90 to 02/92 I was the 2ND Infantry Divisions G-2 DMZ Surveillance NCO. I was responsible for the coordinating contrctual maintenance on surveillance equipment along the DMZ at 6 U.S. Army RADAR Sites - Pan Mun Jom to the Cheorwon Valley. I also coordinated V.I.P. visits to the sites and reported the daily equipment status reports. I drove to each of the site weekly to not only check on the equipment but also to see how the troops at the sites were, even though they did not work for me. Their wellbeing was just as impotant to me as the equipment was. I logged over 10K miles, accident free, in a HMMV covering from TDC to Yongsan Garrison, and the RADAR Sites. I wish to thank all of those personnel who worked at those sites (R.S. 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 7) for all of their hard work and their hospitality when I was visiting their sites. I know the sites were turned over to the R.O.K.s not long after I departed and that R.S. 1 is now the Dora Observatory (tourist site). Keywords: DMZ Surveillance NCO (SFC C+11). |

| MONICA B. wrote on March 27, 2010 CITY AND STATE: UNIT: SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: FAMILY MEMBER Comments: My husband was stationed at Camp Casey from 1992-1993. He was recently diagnosed with a rare form of cancer - Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma. It's a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. We're looking for anyone that spent a great deal of time out in the field (he was an artillery surveyor)in the late 80s through the 90s and has developed one of the presumptive diseases attributed to Agent Orange exposure. We know Agent Orange was used in the 60s and possibly 70s at Camp Casey. We also know that dioxin (a component of Agent Orange) stays in the ground for a very long time. We are interested in if there is a cluster of health problems for vets who served there years after Agent Orange was sprayed, but spent a great deal of time in contact with the contaminated soil. Please leave a message if you fit this description. We hope to bring enough evidence to the VA to get something done. Thanks. McKINNEY,relieved my squad leader @ the time,SSGT.Lorenzo CRUZ,a 15+ year ARMY Veteran, of duty, for defecating on himself(an un-likely story and most humiliatating claim),and i remember him(McKINNEY),used to like to throw his weapon(M16-A2) down on the ground,in attempt to intimidate soldiers when he was "mad/pissed",get in their face and start yelling/screaming, while pushing up against them with his body(I witnessed an incident where he(McKINNEY)did this and almost knocked the guy over,he was pushing so violently and screaming.I also had an incident with this Lt.,on a live fire exercise off,but adjacent or in close proximity to the DMZ(they had nice new tile showers and latrines up on a hill @ this range, name???).Any stories, events,or recollections of Lt. McKinney, and his actions,or of those he caused to suffer,or of similiar leaders???? Keywords: Spc.Joe CRUZ,SSGT.Lorenzo CRUZ,SSGT.LOPEZ,PFC RODLEY,CPT.Gregory D.
