Comments: this aircraft is at the Military Aviation Museum in Va Beach, VA. Does anyone know anything about this aircraft buno 123827? It was reported to have been assigned to VA-55 at some point. Pictures would be extremely welcomed.

Comments: I am looking for information/photos of VA-55 during the 50's to build a model for a fellow Navy vet. I understand that the skyraider was the aircraft when he was in. My friend Mr. Cole does not have any photos or cruse books from his time in the squadron.

Comments: I am trying to gather information about the air combat operations of USN squadrons in Korea. In case of VA-55 I am especially interested in encounters with MiGs during the November 1950 strikes on the Yalu bridges. Official archival information briefly mentions VF-52s victory over a MiG 18 November. VA-55s Historical Report also mentions a MiG sighting 12 November as well the MiG attack on the air group 18 November. Any futher information on this or other MiG encounters by any sdn in Valley Forge/CVG-5 at that time, first hand or not, would be helpful.
