He inspired me to become a NAVCAD in 1948. After the Korean War we became neighbors in Dallas. There, I met many other pilot veterans of the re-called VA-702 Squadron. ("Where did they find such men?") There is going to be 2 reunions, one with VA-145 in Charleston, S.C., Sept. 6, 2000. The next reunion will be with the Aircraft Carrier Boxer Veterans Association to be held in New Braunsfeld, TX in April 200l. VA-702 members had our first get-together with the Boxer Veterans Assn. this past March. We had approximately 15 shipmates at this meeting. We hope to increase that if we can just find our shipmates.
