| COLIN HURLEY wrote on November 13, 2001 City and State: Unit: Service or Relationship: INTERESTED PERSON Comments: My dad served, I strongly believe, on HMS Jamaica - but after the Korean war. (I have also heard him talk about HMS Shackleton - I believe a minesweeper) This year my father retires.Since leaving the navy, I think around the early 60's, he has worked for GPO (Old name for BT), United Glass in Harlow and more recently at VW in Harlow, Essex. He is 65 on 27 November. If anyone knows of my dad or of any memorabilia I may be able to get him as a suitable retirement present I would greatly appreciate it. He and my Mum play an active role in the RNA for Harlow. I am biased I know but the two of them help the members and guests of the RNA to the absolute best of their ability, Although you will not know me Please accept my Very Best Regards Colin Hurley Keywords: Shackleton |
