1932AACS SQ SEP 52 TO NOV 53 |
| ED MILLIGAN JR wrote on December 13, 2011 CITY AND STATE: ANNAPOLIS MD UNIT: 1932 AACS SQ SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: AIR FORCE VETERAN Comments: Looking to hear from anyone who served at the Goose during 1952 to 1953. My buddies John Dirugeris, Jerry Lala and Ross appropriated an aluminum canoe from a Rescue Shack down buy the river and took a ride. Worst day of my life. The four of us almost drowned. Could not sit down because the water temp burned our butts ergo we almost turned over four times trying to maintain our balance while paddling. Along came some Canadian guys who tried to toe us but burned out their motor. Needless we all did make it back to shore and never caught any flack for jackin the canoe. Keywords: C 124 |

| ROBERT WILLIAMS SR. wrote on September 24, 2010 CITY AND STATE: HUBBARDSTON MA UNIT: 1932 AACS SERVICE OR RELATIONSHIP: AIR FORCE VETERAN Comments: I was in the 1932 AACS Sq at Goose Bay from Nov. 1957 to Nov 1958 as a Teletype Operator. I remember some of the long TT Tapes that were supply requests and would run thru the transmitter for hours and hopefully would not rip.(remember the splicing gadget for a torn tape) Went on to Dover AFB and discharged in June 61. Started working for the Massachusetts State Police in 1963 as a Dispatcher (Radio and Teletype Oper) and retired in 1999 as supervisor for central part of the state. The USAF was a great experience.
