Comments: I'm looking for the members of Night Intruder Crew #10 that flew A/B-26s out of Pusan AFB begining in August of 1951. These are the crew members:
2d LT Weldon T Armstrong Jr.(Pilot); 2nd Lt Alfred T Schmitz (Radar/Bombadier); 1st LT Euland W Garrett (Navigator). Their gunner, PFC Ronald Cheston was MIA/KIA in Sept 1951.

We are hoping to find family members, if the crew members have passed away, that might have photos of the crew or any of the planes stationed there. We do not have the name of the plane flown by Crew #10, but are looking for photos of 'Vivian Girl' the a/c that Cheston was on when lost.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Comments: I would like to hear from anyone who went through Basic Training at Sampson AFB, NY during November 1951 through February, 1952. Flight Number was 1172, if memory serves me well. From Basic Training, we were sent to Tech School at Fort Dix, NJ for training in the Wheeled Vehicles Maintenance Course, under Army trainers. In June, 1952, we processed through Camp Stoneman (Pittsurg, California) for shipment to Korea. We sailed to Yokohama, Japan aboard the USNS General E. T. Collins. We had to make a side trip to Seattle, WA to take on 1,500 Army troops. The trip across the Pacific took some 28 days, following a zig-zag submarine avoidance course. Lots of sea-sick troops aboard! Looking for a Robert G. Wass, who hailed from Maine, and a Chin C. Sen, of NYC; the three of us went through Basic, Tech School and Camp Stoneman Processing Center, and sailed aboard the same ship to Yokohama. Bob Wass and I were assigned to the 7th Motor Transport Squadron (Motor Pool), K-11, Korea. We were there July 1952 through July 1953. Don't know what happened to Chin Sen. Really would appreciate hearing from someone. Thanks.

Keywords: 7th Motor Transport Sqdn, K-11, Korea. Stationed there from July, 1952 through July, 1953. Only one name stands out in memory: anybody know a Robert G. Wass? I recall he was from Maine; Bangor, perhaps?. We went through Basic at Sampson AFB, NY, and traveled together from Camp Stoneman, California aboard the USNS General E. T. Collins. Another name: Chin C. Sen; also Basic at Sampson AFB, who was from NYC. All three of us went through Wheeled Vehicle Maintenance Course at Fort Dix, NJ, under Army trainers.

Comments: A good friend of mine died last week. His
name was Bill Fitch. When I was a kid we
moved accross the street from his home in
South Florida. As I grew into adulthood we
became friends. He discused some of his
war stories with me and my brother when we
were kids and we were always amazed.
When he passed away last week his niece
stopped by his house to collect his things.
Among the papers she found a de-clasified
document of when he was shot down in May
of 51. The pilot, William Cara, and Bill
survived. The gunner, S/SGT Norman E.
Snyder, was MIA. I was amazed as I read his
document. It made fantastic reading. I was
wondering if there is anyone out there who
remembers "Mr. Bill" (that's what we called
him as kids). I would love to hear some
stories or any pictures of other information you
may have on Bill Fitch.
