I base this guess from a group photo taken in 1958. I can see most of the unit designation in the photo. I would appreciate it if someone would be able to shed some light on this organisation. Also trained JASDF in day intercept tactics in the 86F. My first PCS assignment was Nemuro AFS, Det. 26 from April-December 1956 and Det. 45 from Jan-Dec 1957. Det. 45, on top of the Mount Shikotsu near Ishikari-tobetsu was the squadron HQ on Hokkaido with detachments also at Abashiri (28), Erimozaki (36)and Wakkanai (18). Keywords:

We lost our commanding officer in a L-20 DeHaviland Beaver plane crash on the site on July 14th, 1953 and there were three other fatalities in this crash. Keywords:
