Escaped Communist Romania, arrived in USA and Volunteered for US Army. Wounded in action. Does not appear in any state records , was not US resident. My cousin Victor Ivanovich and myself are looking for him. His last news were before Easter. His last address was N.K. Ioannides, 32 Village Dr., S. Borg-Pa. 183 60.( with possible mispellings) . No telephone.

Comments: I have slides my father took in Korea in 1954. I would like to share them but do not know where/how to post them. INcluded are photos of Kozluski "ski"; Lofflar; Kabes; Luepe; Miracle; Garrett; Gibson, Rusty, and Hamlet. Some are labelled 1st Mar Chapel and O.P. Texas DMZ if that helps define where these were taken. My dad's service records don't include his Korean service so I have been unable to narrow it down.

Comments: I'm trying to figure out the name of the Marine Colonel who would have headed the Judge Advocate General's office in Seoul in the spring of 1953. My husband's grandpa knew him. I'm writing a book about his time in Korea, and this Colonel gave him some good advice as he was attempting to adopt a child (my father-in-law). Any advice as to how I might identify and/or contact this man would be very helpful. Thank you.

Keywords: James Truitt Brittingham was my father-in-law. He served in the USMC both in WWWII (on a ship) and in the Korean War (?mortar squad.) Is there any way I can find out where he served there?

He was born in Maryland, and lived in West Coumbia, SC before he died in Nov 1995.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who can give me information on my grandfather. His name was LaVerne "Tiny" Niemeyer and he was a part of the 135 Platoon out of San Diego, California. He served during the Korean War. He was Discharged Jan. 1955. he passed a way in 1985 and i am writing a paper on him would like some info on him. if anyone could help please email me. all i know is what platoon he was in, sorry.

Looking for friends of my dad

Comments: I'm looking for any other Marine that served with my dad in the aerial photography unit in '51-'53. He also had a close friend named Nelson Diaz (not sure of the spelling). My father died last Memorial Day 2006 and I would like to find Nelson Diaz and thank him for befriending my father and introducing him to my mother. Please help if you know Nelson Diaz. Thank you.

okinawa September 5 1956

Comments: My brother, Boyd Ray Williams died along with 10 of his buddies while swimming off Okinawa. A undercurrent pulled them under. He got free of it but drowned while trying to help the others. Anyone who might have known him please contact me. I noticed Larry Brown was looking for any info on his brother who died in the same incident. If he sees this please e-mail me. Billy Warner- POW during Chosin

Comments: My father, SGT Billy M. Warner, was taken POW during Nov. at the Chosin Resivor Battle. He never talked about this until close to his death, and then he let me know that he would like to receive the POW medal. We cannot document this since I am told his records were burned in the fire that destroyed several years. There was another Marine take POW at the same time and location. If anyone knew my father during that time - or the man with him - please contact me.
